My Reading Desk

I have seen a lot of people sharing their reading desk with others – online as well as offline. Today, inspired by those, I am also sharing my own reading desk for the month of May. This May, I will be reading so many books, as many as 3 at least and I will also be sharing the reviews of those books on my blog. I have to read a somewhat domestric drama – Rafflesia: The Banished Princess. I have heard a lot about this book and some of the respected book reviewers from India have said good about this book in general. Other than this one, Rafflesia by Gautam, I will be reading two other books.

I will be reading Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray and also Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I couple contemporaries with classics because I believe that reading things in variation helps the reader to maintain the taste of his or her reading. Vanity Fair does not require any introduction from me or anyone else. This is a classic which has made way for many other classics to come. This novel revolves around a character named Rebecca Sharp and her cunning activities. On the other hand, Pride and Prejudice is a typical novel by witty lady Jane Austen. This is the novel which made way for the Darcian charm and Elizabethan delicacy!

I will make sure I finish those novels before the month of May ends and also I would be able to post the reviews as soon as I finish those books. Meanwhile, I will suggest that you guys keep reading and keep writing so that the literary melody keeps enchanting the ears! All the best with your reading and writing!
